PIB (Indonesia Import Declaration)
The PIB (Pemberitahuan Impor Barang — Notification of Imported Goods) is Indonesia's import declaration, the document through which imported goods are declared to Bea Cukai (Indonesia Customs) and their tariff classification (HS), customs value, origin, and duties and taxes (import duty, VAT/PPN, and income tax PPh 22) are accounted for. Its export counterpart is the PEB (Pemberitahuan Ekspor Barang).
The PIB is submitted electronically through the customs system and single window, and Bea Cukai uses it to assess the amount owed and to assign the shipment to a clearance channel (green, yellow, red) based on risk.
