Indonesia National Single Window (INSW)
The Indonesia National Single Window (INSW) is the country's electronic platform for submitting trade documents once, to Customs (Bea Cukai) and the many other agencies that regulate imports and exports (for licensing, quarantine, standards and permits). Managed by the Lembaga National Single Window (LNSW), it integrates the permit and clearance processes into one gateway.
Through INSW, traders and brokers obtain the required import/export licences and permits and lodge the PIB/PEB declarations, and the system links to the customs CEISA platform and to the ASEAN Single Window for regional trade. By coordinating clearance and the numerous agency permits Indonesia requires, INSW aims to reduce paperwork, duplication and clearance time. Given Indonesia's substantial licensing and restricted-goods regime, the single window is the practical channel through which permit-heavy shipments are cleared. For traders and software integrating with Indonesian customs, connecting to INSW is central to trade operations. It is the digital backbone of Indonesian trade facilitation.
