Siscomex (Brazil)
Siscomex (Sistema Integrado de Comércio Exterior — Integrated Foreign Trade System) is Brazil's electronic system through which foreign-trade operations are registered, processed and controlled by the government. It is the platform where importers and exporters (and their brokers) file their import and export declarations and where customs and other agencies process them.
Modernized under the Portal Único de Comércio Exterior (Single Window), Siscomex integrates the many government bodies involved in Brazilian trade and is introducing the streamlined DUIMP (single import declaration) to replace the older DI. Through Siscomex, the whole trade operation — licensing, declaration, tax assessment, and clearance — is managed electronically, and importers must be registered (via RADAR) to operate in it. For companies trading with Brazil, and for software integrating with Brazilian customs, Siscomex/Portal Único is the system of record and channel through which clearance happens, so understanding and connecting to it is central to Brazilian trade operations. It is the digital backbone of Brazil's foreign trade. Navigating it is essential to importing into or exporting from Brazil.
