Maritime & Ship Management 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia

Jeddah Islamic Port

Jeddah Islamic Port is the largest and busiest port in Saudi Arabia, located on the Red Sea coast. It is the Kingdom's primary maritime gateway and a significant transhipment hub on the main Asia–Europe shipping lane that runs through the Red Sea and Suez Canal.

Handling a large share of Saudi Arabia's container trade across multiple terminals, Jeddah connects the western region and the wider Kingdom to global markets, and increasingly serves regional transhipment cargo. Its location on one of the world's busiest trade corridors makes it strategically important well beyond Saudi Arabia's own trade.

Why it matters

Jeddah sits on the Asia–Europe artery through the Red Sea, which makes it both Saudi Arabia's main gateway and a natural transhipment point for regional cargo. Its capacity and connections are why so much of the Kingdom's — and the region's — trade routes through it.
